About Me
My name is Birkan Ulusoy. I have been working in e-commerce marketing for over 15 years, with a clear focus on Shopify-powered direct-to-consumer brands.
I started my journey in Turkey, working hands-on with brands that were building their first online sales channels. Over time, my work evolved from execution into understanding how growth, positioning, and customer experience come together in successful DTC businesses. For the past several years, I have continued this work from New York, helping Shopify brands grow, scale, and expand into new markets.
My expertise sits at the core of DTC marketing. This includes customer acquisition, conversion optimization, brand positioning, content and performance marketing, and building systems that support long-term growth. I work closely with Shopify as a platform, not just as a storefront, but as a full growth infrastructure.
I believe DTC success is not about hacks or short-term tactics. It is about clarity. Clear positioning. Clear messaging. Clear understanding of the customer journey from first touch to repeat purchase. Most growth problems I see are not traffic problems. They are alignment problems between brand, offer, and customer expectations.
I do not offer generic audits or template-based solutions. Every brand has a different market, different margins, and different growth constraints. My role is to identify leverage points and focus on what will actually move revenue and brand value forward.
I work best with founders and teams who care about building real brands, not just online stores. Brands that want to own their audience, control their distribution, and create long-term value instead of chasing temporary wins.
I do not operate as a traditional agency. I work hands-on with a limited number of Shopify DTC brands where I can be directly involved and accountable for the outcome. Depth matters more than volume.
If you are building or scaling a Shopify-based DTC brand and want a focused, practical marketing partner who understands both growth and execution, I would be happy to connect.
